"Stand Still, Look Pretty"

I want to paint my face
And pretend that I am someone else
Sometimes I get so fed up
I don't even want to look at myself

But people have problems that are worse than mine
I don't want you to think I'm complaining all the time
And I hate the way you look at me I have to say
I wish I could start over

I am slowly falling apart
I wish you'd take a walk in my shoes for a start
You might think it's easy being me
You just stand still, look pretty

Sometimes I find myself shaking
In the middle of the night
And then it hits me and I can't
Even believe this is my life

But people have problems that are worse than mine
I don't want you to think I'm complaining all the time
And I wish everyone would go and shut their mouths
I'm not strong enough to deal with it

I am slowly falling apart
I wish you'd take a walk in my shoes for a start
You might think it's easy being me
You just stand still, look pretty

This is a song by The Wreckers and it just really hit home with me and I have been listening to it all morning. It is a beautiful song so even if you can't relate you should check it out.

What happens in Mexico sure doesn't stay in Mexico

So once again the paparazzi has stirred up the media and the public with another so called SCANDAL. This time one of Hollywood's most loved couples Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are the victims. While on a trip to Mexico the two were caught doing some heavy petting and then some in a hot tub. These pictures where then published by INSTYLE magazine with the heading "SEX SCANDAL". Stating that "Nicks good guy image is at stake", and that "people will feel differently about Vanessa" The photos that were taken of them where snapped by a Mexican photographer and Nick has hired a high powered attorney to try to make sure that the hardcore pictures are never published.
Now why in the world should this be labeled a scandal. The couple have been dating for over a year and have openly let the world in on their relationship but this just takes it too far!!!
Why should they be ashamed? They did absolutely nothing wrong. The papparazzi should be embarrassed...stalking this couple in an intimate moment. We've all had naked fun in a hot tub with our lovers, there's nothing shameful about it. Nick said it best when he was quoted saying "I was in Mexico with my girlfriend of a year, celebrating our anniversary on a private vacation. It's not like I was caught with a Mexican hooker."
I still got your back Nick and Vanessa.

So this is love

Most people who know me know that I am getting married in 3 weeks. I could not be happier. I have the greatest guy in the whole world. We have been together 4 1/2 years and I love him more than anything in the world. Speaking of my man everyone should check out his blog at http://sethphelps.blogspot.com. If you want to know whats up then thats the place to go. We just moved into the nicest apartments in Virginia Beach. We just compliment each other so well, and he has the greatest family and I love them all like my own.

Ok... enough with the mushy stuff. I had no idea how much stuff had to be done in order to make a wedding happen. I mean I make a mountain out of a mole-hill a lot more than I should, but the stress that this has put me under is phenomenal. Making sure that everyone knows whats going on. Literally looking up and hunting down every person I have ever known to send invitations so no one gets there feelings hurt. Trying to stay away from food which I love so much so I can be skinny. The list just goes on and on. I know in the end it is all going to be worth it but for now the stress is doing a number on me and my skin! All I have to say is I better have some damn good pictures to show for all this!!!

Choose your weekend getaways wisely

So after much deliberation I have decided that I am never again going to step foot on an amusement park ride. I have been going to amusement parks since I was a little kid and I loved the thrill of a lightning fast roller coaster that did triple loops and 90 degree drops. The crazier it seemed the more I enjoyed it, but once again today I read on Yahoo of an amusement park accident where a 21 year old woman was ejected from a ride and killed. The same ride that three years earlier had killed a young boy, and just a week ago I found out about a 13 year old girl who had her feet severed from her body while riding the "Superman Tower of Power" at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. If that isn't enough for you a 7 year old boy died while riding "Mission Space" at Walt Disney World, and that ride does not even leave the ground!!! So all morning I have just been intrigued by these stories of amusement park tragedies, and I have just read story after story of different events that have taken place.
It is just weird because I have always been naive to the fact that these kinds of rides could severely injure or kill you.
The first summer that Seth and I were dating we all took a road trip to Cedar Point, which is basically the roller coaster capital of America. Seth , Tad and I were all hyped up to ride all the rides and our friend Joey ran away and hid from us so he wouldn't have to ride, and we teased and mocked him for being a baby. I just want to say "Summers you were right!!"
